Sew A Dress Workshop

No sewing experience? No problem. We’ll guide you through every step, from the first stitch to the final gather.

When you book your spot, we’ll send you the pattern with clear instructions for cutting out your pieces at home. To make the most of our time together, you’ll need to arrive with your fabric pre-cut and ready to sew. Choose a fabric that gathers well, but most importantly, something you love and want to wear.

You’ll head home with a handmade smock dress, new sewing skills, and a bit more confidence to tackle your next project, plus the satisfaction of making something special in good company.

What to bring

You'll receive the PAINTERS SMOCK pattern ahead of time, and will need to precut your pattern from your fabric to maximise sewing time!
We also recommend bringing a bottle of water to stay refreshed while you sew.

Who can attend

This session is for adults aged 16 and over.
If you're under 18, you're welcome to join with a parent or guardian.

What if I don’t finish?

Time goes by fast, and while most people finish in that time, you might need to complete a few bits at home, especially if you like to take your time.
You’ll leave with the skills and guidance to confidently finish it on your own if needed.

Accessibility

The studio is on the ground floor, with one step at the entrance.
If you have any access needs or questions, please get in touch before booking, we’ll do everything we can to support you and make the space as welcoming as possible.

Refunds and reschedules

Workshop bookings are non-refundable, your space is reserved just for you.
If you’re unable to attend, please contact us at least 48 hours before the session. We’ll do our best to transfer your booking to another available date, though this isn’t guaranteed and depends on availability.

We may take photographs or record short clips during the session for promotional use. By booking a workshop, you consent to being filmed or photographed. If you have any concerns, just let us know.
